For the Big Kids

15 Jan

Getting older students to speak in class can be like pulling teeth with a sobrasada. A great means of combating this overt verguenza is http://www.englishclub.com. This page offers a great deal of resources for teachers and students alike! My personal favorite is the section on talking points. Not that I encourage this brand of lackadaisical behavior, but I have definitely found myself printing these templates 10 minutes before class and using them as the basis for an hour long English period. The trick is not letting your teens and young adults get away with brief, one-word-answers, mayormente because that means more work on your end 😉 Give it a shot.
